Imagine my surprise (and not in a good way), when my therapist arrived and it was NOT Rebecca. Mine were the same, but they had changed hers: the order of treatments and, more importantly, the time of service! YIKES.no call or notification, just a random change because "it was easier for us to schedule that way." Really?įinally, we arrive for our treatments, with the scheduling frustrations still lingering, but as we were just mellowing out in the relaxation room prior to our service, the annoyance was diminishing. Then a week out from our trip (we both travel in to the DFW area-one from AZ and one from San Antonio), my friend called to confirm our appointments. Anyway, we fixed it and I confirmed I had Rebecca. The gal on the phone was not super friendly.ever so slightly abrasive.and commented that my appointments had been booked out of order, etc. The day after I made my appointments, I called to make a change. In the meantime, my friend booked her services through the online reservation system (also requesting a specific provider). In 2016, I phoned months ahead to be sure to get my preferred provider (Rebecca) who gave me an AWESOME massage and wrap in 2015. Luckily, we called and got it squared away, but only after a couple of stressful hours waiting for them to open and make sure she still had an appointment. In '15, my friend booked her treatments online and while she received confirmations, they "disappeared" from viewing online the morning of our visit. In both instances, we both enjoyed the services provided VERY much but some of the wonderful relaxation was offset by a clunky booking process and scheduling snafus. We went in Feb 2015 and again in Feb 2016. I've visited the Plano location twice now on an annual Girlfriend's Getaway. Oh, and as expected their grounds and facilities are spanking nice. I'm sure that they work with a LOT of entitled people whose expectations are unachievable, but they still keep a great attitude. Also, just about every person I interacted with was extremely qualified, personable, and engaged. There could be no greater inspiration or incentive than the precise results that they provided. They pointed directly to how it was impacting my life, longevity and future lifestyle. Their testing went way beyond anything I was expecting and went into great details of what was being tipped up because of the "lose weight, exercise more". As a long time volunteer EMT, I have a rudimentary understanding of the health sciences. I had tests of most everything and some of it was personally eye opening. However, what they did went well beyond that. Whew that was a wake up call! Like many people, I was expecting the "need to lose weight, need to exercise more". In a madly fortunate set of events, I was able to go for a full diagnostics of myself. I was extremely impressed with my treatment, testing and diagnostics at the Cooper Clinic. I have been to other spas that have separate waiting and quiet rooms, which gives large groups a place to hang together and others seeking quiet to find relaxation. I'm not one to spoil their fun, but it's a problem when it also spoils my relaxing time (both before and after since it seems we were on the same schedule). But they were far from practicing spa etiquette (one woman - while in the relaxation room - even loudly announced "I shouldn't be allowed in places like this - I'm too loud!") And unfortunately the attendants didn't enforce any etiquette rules either. I love to arrive early at the spa and just get into "relaxation mode" with some quiet time with a book, but there was a large group of girlfriends (5+) who hadn't seen each other in a while and were understandably excited to be together. My only complaint is that there is just one room for relaxation, so if there is a large group there together (which was the case when I was there), there is nowhere for them to go and socialize and it greatly detracts from the relaxation experience. The whole spa area was nice, with a relaxation room, hot tub/whirlpool, sauna and steam room. My massage with Vivian was outstanding! She use acupressure techniques to release tension spots I didn't even know I had! I truly left my massage feeling 5lbs lighter, just from all the muscle relief and tension release she did with her miracle hands! The services are $$$, but I would go back just for a treatment with Vivian!
